I booked a session with Sally to understand more how I could create even healthier habits to manage my endometriosis. The communication both before and during the session was great, and I got a deeper understand of what I could do both before and after my cycle to help my energy flow better. The yoga session we had was particularly powerful, and I felt much better and the cramping I was experiencing before the session had dissipated completely after the session was complete! I am definitely going to be adding Yin Yoga as part of my practice in controlling my endometriosis so it does not control me! Sally was a pleasure to work with, and she has such a soothing voice which goes perfectly with Yoga. I will definitely be working with her again in the future to understand more how Yin Yoga can help me manage my symptoms.

I found to the one to one sessions included to be an invaluable part of the programme. I was able to open my heart space to Sally and let out many pent up emotions which were received with compassion and empathy.

Are you interested in using a body orientated or somatic approach to your trauma recovery and integration?

Is your child struggling with their feelings, behaviour or in school?

Do you need a bespoke approach to meet your own health and wellbeing needs?

Are you experiencing a women’s health condition or painful periods and need some support?

I provide sessions for adults and children both in person in Whaley Bridge and Stockport and online. I specialise in the integration of mind-body therapies, psychology and yoga. My teaching and coaching is grounded in science and trauma- informed practice, taking individuals from stress and anxiety to positive mental and physical wellness, and helping adults to look at the emotional wounds from childhood, in a safe and therapeutic space.

I offer an integrative approach to therapy which is holistic and body based. I offer an understanding and therapeutic work that understands that the mind and body are not separate, and that trauma can be processed from a body centered perspective. I am a registered HCPC psychologist, which means that my background over the last decade is in developmental trauma, and mental health. I love working with those interested in spiritual development, helping you to connect to your own sense of intuition and wellbeing so that you can move through transitions in life and connect to a deep sense of self-worth and self-care.

I can help you to reclaim your power and move on from the past, creating a sense of wellbeing and self-care rituals through a bespoke approach including somatic therapy, psychology, menstrual cycle awareness, mindfulness and yoga.

Trauma is not what happened to us but what happens inside us as a result of the events. The ways that we constrict and become more limited in our responses as a result. The adaptations we make that enable us to survive. There’s a reason why yoga and meditation practices have survived and thrived for thousands of years - because they work! Yoga has the potential to be incredibly healing and helpful. These practices are now backed by scientific research showing us the profound effect that they can have on our lives. Many of us have very physically or cognitively demanding roles, whether in work or as a caregiver, and this has led to a real sense of disconnection and dis-ease in our bodies. Lots of us find ourselves stuck in the past or future with no sense of being truly present. But yet lots of us have the same wish to be happy and healthy. Or we throw ourselves into work or family life without carving out any time for our own self-care or down time. This eventually presents itself as injury, fatigue or anxiety. What we resist persists!

I’M HERE TO SUPPORT YOU

A private session is completely catered for your needs. I can cater each and every session around what you want to explore or how you feel. I always precede any therapy with an initial assessment so that we can decide together what might be useful. I can help you to move through trauma recovery so that you can live the life you truly want and deserve. If you know you struggle to take action to really make a difference to your own health and wellbeing, then we can work together to come up with a plan.

For Women’s Health this may include:

  • Individualised yoga practices to help balance female hormones

  • The use of yoga to support different phases of the female reproductive cycle

  • The use of yoga to support fertility

  • Yoga practices to support the phases of IVF

  • The use of yoga to help prevent miscarriages

  • Yoga tactics to support PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, PMS, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, heavy periods

  • The use of yoga to help minimize menopausal symptoms

  • and so much more...

Trauma informed yoga is body-oriented therapeutic support for people who have experienced childhood trauma (including neglect, emotional or verbal abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse), any single event trauma, repeated trauma, vicarious trauma or generational trauma.

Holistic wellbeing is at the core of everything I offer to those who are ready to commit and make the change.

I have years of training in different areas including somatic therapy, as an intuitive life coach, a registered psychologist and a therapeutic specialist yoga teacher.

Here’s some common questions or what might be on your mind. Accessing therapy is a commitment and it is important to understand what is expected in order to be able to make an informed decision about whether what I offer fits your current needs and circumstances.

What can I expect from working with you

At the initial no charge call you will get to ask any questions you want and we will talk about possible options for private sessions.

I will complete an initial assessment within any package that you opt for.

I offer a body-based therapeutic approach which can also include talking therapy and coaching, and sessions may include (this is individualised):

Introduction to autonomic nervous system in relation to stress & trauma recovery

Breath work techniques

Body based exercises

Talking

Guided relaxation

Session duration and frequency

Sessions usually last 50-60 minutes and take place on a weekly basis. There may be occasions when a longer session is required, this is not compulsory, but it is recommended and will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

I recommend weekly sessions to gain the most from therapy. However, there may be occasions when clients want to access sessions less frequently. While I can offer flexibility, there are instances where having sessions less than once weekly may not be recommended therapeutically. We will discuss this in advance and agree on a suitable package of therapy to best suit your needs. I currently offer sessions on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.

You will be asked to read a therapy agreement with terms and conditions and sign this document during or before our first session.

How long do I need to commit for and how often?

I usually recommend an initial commitment between us of 3 months minimum, so we can build a good relationship, strong foundations and be able to work slowly and therapeutically. For complex trauma, repeated trauma, and childhood trauma therapy is usually weekly or fortnightly for a year or more with a similar time-frame to psychotherapy.

What’s the investment?

The pricing of sessions depends on whether you request in person or online. Pricing starts from £100/session for online sessions.

You can also add on a nutritional therapy package with my team, for a further £350 as part of my Healing From Within package.

Payment plans are available.

Reports and summary letters are available upon request and charged at the standard rate of £100 per hour.

Please note that fees are subject to regular review and might increase during the duration of your therapy contract. Any increase will be communicated to you in advance.

I offer a free 30 minute introductory call to everyone.

Please note this is not a therapy or intervention session, this is to get to know each other and so we can discuss if we would be a good fit for therapy. It’s very important that you work with someone you feel comfortable with, and it’s also important to me that you feel you have made the right choice for you. After our discovery session I offer online or in person sessions. This is available within a 3 or 6 month container, working together either weekly or fortnightly. Signing up for a minimum of 8 sessions is encouraged. Prices start from £100 per session, and payment plans are available.

I also offer packages which include unlimited access to my membership, my online courses, and other materials to support you in between sessions.

Low-cost appointments for people in financial difficulty are also an important part of my work - please ask if you need one of these.

If something is drawing you to jump in and commit to this 1:1 work so that you can make the transformations you’ve been waiting to see, then let’s book in for a no pressure chat.
