Bookings, refunds and cancellation policy


By booking a class, event or workshop you are agreeing to all the below policies.

Classes START at the advertised time.

Upon booking a session you are agreeing to attend that session. All attendees are expected to arrive at least 5 minutes before the session is due to start, as once the start time passes, entry may not be possible. Most venues require manual entry, and the door will be locked for security, and for this reason, once the session starts, you may not be able to gain entry. By booking, you are agreeing to arrive before the session is due to start so we can begin on time. Late arrivals will not be permitted entry. If the venue is new to you, or you are not sure where you’re going, leave extra time in your journey or check out the route beforehand.

Below you will find the policies in place for the various events and classes I offer.

All sessions must be paid for more than 12 hours before you are due to attend, otherwise your booking will be cancelled automatically.



 

Workshops & one-off events

There is a no refund cancellation policy in place for these events. If a space can be back-filled by a waitlist (in the case that the event is full and there is a waitlist) then a credit will be added to your account to use against another same-price workshop or event. If the space cannot be back-filled, there will be no credit added.

Private bookings for 1:1 sessions

If you cancel more than 48 hours before your private session starting you are entitled to transfer your booking to another suitable date.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice your booking cannot be transferred and no refund will be given.

 

Weekly classes

If you cancel more than 12 hours before the class starts you are entitled to a class credit on your account, or your booking moved to a different date. PLEASE EMAIL ME at sally@wellnesswithsally.com TO CANCEL OR MOVE YOUR BOOKING, as the system will cancel your booking without crediting you back.

If you cancel less than 12 hours before the class starting, there will be no credit added and your booking cannot be transferred.

 

Terms & Conditions - Retreats & Immersions

Insurance:

Most people don't think about the need for insurance when travelling especially within the UK but the unexpected can always happen and if you need to cancel your visit to us you could lose your deposit or even the full cost of the retreat therefore it is strongly advise all our guests to arrange Personal Accident and Travel/Cancellation Insurance when booking onto one of our retreats and recommend you take time to research a company that suits you personally.

Booking information:

The retreat cost includes the retreat fee, accommodation and all meals during your stay. Travel to the retreat is not included in the price.

Transfers from airports for Europe can be arranged for a small additional fee and will be discussed with each individual group upon booking.

Special diets can be catered for all offerings are vegan and gluten free. 

Payment Policy:

A non-refundable deposit is required for each retreat.

This deposit is taken upon booking the retreat, spaces are NOT confirmed without deposit payment. Remaining balance being due either 5 or 4 weeks prior to the start of the retreat. If the retreat is booked less than 4 weeks in advance the deposit facility will not be available and the full amount will need to be paid when booking.

Failure to pay balance on set due date will mean your place IS NOT secured and will be offered to a waiting list.

Refund Policy:

If you decide to cancel the retreat after paying the deposit, this deposit can not be transferred to another retreat or another person.

If you have made full payment no refund will be given. 

We strongly advise you to take out your own insurance. 

No Refund of Full Payment Given under any circumstances.

No Refund given under Unexpected Circumstances. This includes under the circumstances of Natural Disaster, War, Pandemic, Failure by the Venue or other situation that is out of Sally’s control. Refunds will not be available. Sally will do her best to sort alternative arrangements depending on the scale of the situation.

Cancellation Policy:

All information included in our website and publicity is correct at the time of going to press, but may be subject to change. Whilst we do not anticipate changes to the advertised retreat dates, we may have to cancel or postpone retreats at our discretion.

Liability:

Sally Eccleston Psychology and Wellbeing LTD shall in no event be held liable for any loss or other damages including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or any other damages.

Behaviour:

We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the retreat if their behaviour is disruptive to the running of the retreat or to the other participants and staff. If you withdraw from the retreat at any time or if you are requested to leave due to disruptive behaviour, no part of the retreat fee shall be refunded. In the case of our staff's decision to ask you to leave, all matters arising from a dispute are subject to English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Frequently asked questions - yoga and classes

If you have any questions not answered here, please do not hesitate to get in touch. No question is silly!

I'm not flexible - can I do yoga?
Yes! In fact you are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people think that they need to be flexible to begin yoga, but that’s a little bit like thinking that you need to be able to play tennis in order to take tennis lessons. Come as you are and you will find that yoga practice will help you become more flexible - in mind body and spirit! This newfound practice will be balanced by strength, coordination as well as a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.

I'm not fit - can I do yoga?
Yes, absolutely. There is no assumed level of fitness required for the yoga classes and workshops I teach. You could be a couch potato or an athlete, yoga can benefit everyone. Yoga can help you gain a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.

What should I bring to class?
Just bring yourself, in appropriate clothing (see below), and maybe bring a small bottle of water.

What should I wear?
Some people wear baggy, loose fitting bottoms or shorts and a t shirt. Other people wear tight, stretchy leggings + tops. The only thing that matters is that you wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move and stretch in. It's good to have clothes that keep you cool when you are active in yoga, but to bring a jumper for relaxation, when the body rapidly cools down. Some people also bring socks and a jumper  (maybe even a small blanket) for the relaxation.

Do I need a yoga mat?
All the equipment, including mats, you need for class is provided.  If you prefer to bring your own yoga mat that's fine too. If you want to also practice at home then having your own mat is a great idea, they are available from lots of places - ask me for more details.

When should I eat before a class?
When it comes to food and digestion, each individual is different and needs to find out what works for them. In general I do not recommend a eating a large meal within 2 hours of a class - if you must eat within 2 hours of a class then a light meal or snack that it easily digested is best. Its recommended to be hydrated before a class so drink some water.

How do I pay for classes? 
To pay for classes please contact me, and you can make a direct transfer, pay with paypal or use a cheque or cash.

Why do I need to book a block of classes?
It takes a few classes to start to feel the benefits and make yoga part of your life. Consistency is also important. Classes are limited in space so it is necessary to book a place and I ask people to commit so that classes can go ahead. If you miss a class you may be able to attend another one in the same block, or we may be able to carry it over to the next one. Contact me to discuss this.

What if I can't make a whole block of classes?
If you can't make a whole block of classes, or want to join mid way through a block, please contact me and we can arrange something I am sure.

Can I drop in to class?
At the moment I do not offer drop in classes in person apart from in the summer months. You’re welcome to drop in online.

What type of yoga do you teach?
I teach embodied vinyasa yoga, which is a non-traditional yoga practice, moving the body into different yoga postures (seated, standing and lying) to help improve the bodies strength, flexibility and balance, along with simple breathing exercises and relaxation to help calm the mind, with some free movement, and invitations to feel and sense your body rather than a focus on alignment. I aim to make yoga relaxed, enjoyable and accessible to everyone, adapting the yoga practice to the individual's needs and ability. 

How is yoga different from stretching, or other kinds of fitness?
Unlike stretching or other fitness training, yoga is more than just physically working your body. Within the physical practice of yoga we connect the movement of the body to the rhythm of our breath, which helps to focus and relax the mind by directing our attention inward. Yoga can improve your bodies strength, flexibilty and balance, whilst also calming your mind and improving your posture and how you breath.

What is yoga?
Yoga focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to enhance both physical and mental wellbeing. It originated in India many hundreds of years ago, and has continually evolved towards the form that is popular throughout the world today. There are many different styles of yoga practices today. My approach although rooted in this amazing centuries old  tradition, is modern and straightforward in approach to make it accessible and welcoming to all.
